Bellini is a wonderfully contemporary restaurant spread over two floors, with a stunning stainless steel and glass staircase connecting both levels. Its downstairs bar runs the full length of the restaurant and was imported at great expense complete from Italy. To further enhance the already wonderfully convivial atmosphere, a projector on one wall screens evocative black and white images of fifties Italian films, starring a range of legendary names such as Sophia Loren.

Bellini, is part of the same group as Danieli’s, Dolce Vita and Amalfi (opposite) and they all enjoy the same wonderfully varied menu. There is a varied range of pasta and pizza alongside undoubted classics such as filetto rossini – 9oz fillet topped with pate, and served on a crouton with a red wine sauce and a hint of cream. The days when you had to travel into the city centre to experience restaurants of this ilk are now long gone, with people now travelling from far and wide to visit little Ramsbottom.
